WINDS OF CHANGE

There is no constancy
except for change
as varied as the winds that howl
from one direction to another
so too does our pattern follow the wind
for we are all children of change.

Children change
Wives and mothers change
Dads and grandfathers change
Our pets change
As does the livestock in the fields
Everything is in motion
All is in constant change.

Most important though
is the way we change
the way our minds, our spirits, our lives change
sometimes for the better
sometimes for the worse
just how adaptable are we to change.

There are those that need a finite change
a new husband, a new wife,
a new job, a new car
a new place to live
a new hobby, new excitement
or perhaps, a place of peace and quiet
for a change.

The driver in us is "change"
we cannot escape
we cannot control
change we must
like it or not
it is our life
it is our world.
