WHEN NO MEANS NO

Most everyone has experienced the 'No' word
from childhood to adulthood and from there on,
with results in protests, denials, explanations,
based on the severity involved, some reversals
we learned early on, there is latitude in 'No'.

'No' is a very popular term indeed for we see it
widely utilized virtually everywhere, many times
often administered by law, enforced by fines,
to challenge these may becomes a legal matter,
the meaning of 'No' sometimes hard to define.

Perhaps the hardest 'No' to overcome is
an emotional one, spawned with love involved,
there accumulated hurts are deeply ingrained
exasperate, slice into the vitals of the heart
real or imaginary, it may lead to a final part.
