TURBULENCE

It seems to be uncanny

How Nature is our nanny

With a wide variety of patterns

From periods of sunny calm

Changing to one of rapid storm

From seas apparently at ease

To one of sudden gale driven breeze

Unpredictable, temperamental

Responding to hidden causes

At first often unbeknown causality.

Humans basically enjoy

A peaceful, tranquil equilibrium

Yet their emotions are easily imbalanced

When challenged, differed with, blocked,

Threatened or otherwise interfered with,

The severity of their anger or response

In direct correlation with their particular situation.

Unlike Nature, direct, visible, open,

Humans are more subtle, secretive

Letting emotions override their logic

With uncontrolled anger and dynamic,

A well noted established example being,

‘It is not what you say, but how you say it’.

The result of all of this is

That many a tragic situation

Could be discussed rationally

Resolving troubled inter-personal relations,

Avoiding rueful angry reactions

Leading only to permanent dissatisfaction.
