TOPSY-TURVY

My world had once
a romantic dream
gone it is for now,
the heart that was
mine to be no longer
close and amorous,
left with memories
of pleasurable days
love filled happiness;
unknown consequence,
silence and emptiness
resilience to get along
this chapter now closed,
life must recover, adjust
it has already begun to do so.
