The truth within us lies deeply ingrained
we cannot close our eyes to its dominant reign.

Though most often we ignore it,
suppress, evade, twist or store it,
it will not wane, dim nor whither-
in times of crises, stress or danger
it may suddenly surface, be no stranger,
challenge decisions based improper
most will ignore their inner truth or cap it,
proceed despite their instinct's wrap on it,
only later to discover to their discomfort
that circumventing the truth within
resulted in personal disaster.
