May, viewed as merry, happy
Joyous, uplifting by many
Extolling cheer, an elevated mood
Hope for a future that may be good.

Yet those warm feelings
Are not shared by some
Who dissatisfied have become
Unhappy, angry folk, worrisome.

Their reason often based on fact
Perhaps loss of income, job or home
Or caused by other vital personal factors
That makes them easy prey for charlatans.

Much is being done to try to help
Yet times are tough, one need not tell
Patience, fortitude, determination, resilience-
Rebut despair, instead try to share the anticipated
Inspirational aspects of Nature’s renewal in May.
