THE GROUP

 

Some forty odd in our town

rootin', hootin', tootin' seniors

'The Non Smoking Singles' is

the Name they call themselves,

but beware of their full agenda

for there's mischief in the air.

 

They're amiable, like togetherness

relationships may get carried away

most however stay just good friends

fully enjoying each other's company

spending time together most days,

eating out is their favorite game.

 

Yet, they also like to dance a lot,

now and then walk, hike somewhere

frequent plays, the weekly matinee

hear the symphony, musical events

assist, support each other, socialize,

their energetic leader compassionate.

 

Both diverse and homogeneous

each person unique, exciting,

as their story of life unfolds

full of wonder and surprises,

we also find a common thread

that binds our Group together.
