A long established
trend
thousands of years old
commanded by decree
from the Lord above.
Kings, princes,
rulers
adopted the tradition
expanding collections
to wide extractions.
Protest, battles,
wars
evasions of all sorts
throughout all of this
taxes a normality.
Currently we face
a test
what taxes are best
how much, for whom
at whose bequest.
Decisions will
be made
guiding laws written
will taxes be vanquished
a hilarious derision.
