SYMBOLISM
Were I to suggest what would symbolize you best
a garland of flowers would bedeck your head
white the carnation for pure, ardent love
red the rose for passionate pure love
the camellia for your loveliness
an alstroemeria for your devotion
the globe amaranth for unfading love
a peach blossom to signify my captive love
together with a tulip red for my undying love
a water lily your circlet caps for purity of heart.
To augment what has been said I would
add
rings, bracelets, and necklace made of gemstones
amethyst to symbolize deep love, humility, sincerity
aquamarine for continued happiness, constancy in love
diamond reflecting brilliance, faith, joy, life, purity and love
jade for your intelligence, longevity
onyx showing clearness, dignity, marital bliss
opal depicting confidence, happiness, hope, tender love
a ruby for beauty, charity, daintiness, dignity, love, passion
the zircon for respect due you, to protect against jealousy, theft.
Thy beauty thus adorned
let suitors be forewarned
thy heart now forsworn
from hereon forward.
