SECRET LOVE

You’ll never know
My true love for you,
My heart throbs for you
Longs for you, pines for you
Dreams of you, thinks of you
Through the night, through the day.

It is not your beauty I crave
Though you are very beautiful,
It is your heart I wish to enslave
So that it’s bidding I could do
As your humble, loving slave.

The years wear on
My love steadfast
It does not wane
Through tempestuous weather
Stormy winds, snow, ice and rain
My secret love burns ever brightly
For somehow I know it is not in vain.
