RESONANCE

Beautiful the thoughts

Racing through my mind

This morning with the rising sun

Of days spent happily in love

So pleasant was life then.

Sweet moments of embrace

Broad smiles on her face

Kisses to awaken the soul

Eyes awash with love

Hearts in sync with blue skies above.

Life went on

After she was gone

Strange twists did fate make

Another her place tried to take

Too soon, too young, too fake.

Still she left

With child unborn

Only after some years

To return again

Not because of love

Merely her existence to maintain.

Life in its vagaries

Many a surprise has in store

Mine is not quite over yet

I am ready for some more

Hope and love, love and hope come fore.
