Abounding
everywhere
from bodies
that govern
to speeches
or preaches,
mostly
high of purpose
grand,
well intentioned,
sponsors
in self acclaim
padding,
congratulating
themselves
with aplomb,
a hard
task completed
all seemingly
well done.
So
it is with us as well
our resolutions
personal
most aimed
to improve
ourselves,
our well being,
remedy
many short falls,
overcoming,
progressing
becoming
a better person,
rethinking,
remaking our
psyches,
our personal self,
recasting
our inner image
reflecting
on our outer self.
Drawbacks
and handicaps
once resolutions
thus made
no strong
enforcement face
our attemted
solutions thus
too, soon
waived, forgotten
a short
lived blip
on the
vast horizon.
