RENASCENT

I didn't think I should
I didn't think I would
Pick up the trail once more
The one that I had lost before
I had it in my grasp and held it tight
Only to see it vanish out of my sight
We were so innocent
We should have stood our ground
Instead we turned our cheeks
We left the trail to turn around
It has been a while
As years have passed
Yet just the other day
We strangely found ourselves
Retracing the very trail
That we had left
This is our second chance
This time we will not fail
For we are wiser now
Together we will walk the trail
No matter the obstacles in our way
We are determined not to stray
We will stay the course
We will win the day
For our loving hearts
have shown us the way.
