REASSESSMENT

sunrise augers in a new day
sunset the night that follows
a cycle inevitable perhaps
yet it is not infinite
most are not concerned
it may not happen in their time
more pressing are problems
of everyday life
shelter, sustenance, health, happiness
a myriad of related topics
not the least of which is staying alive
constantly adjusting, attuning to changes
in their personal situations
each reflecting unique necessitations
coping with their desired aspirations
success for those that can rethink, reformulate
while others less fortunate falter, are lost
reassessment, readjustment
a constant requirement
for both humans and nature.
