QUICKSILVERY

 

Quicksilver, Mercury of ancient days
through chemistry finding many ways
as vital ingredient in our current days
used in various titles, product names,
clothing, software, music, computers.

 

Quicksilver, the name of a movie,
the substance in 'The Invisible Man'
making invisible, people and objects
is more akin to the characteristics
of my own very dear mercurial Lady.

 

Active, involved, outgoing, friendly
committed to many worthy activities,
her spirited, bubbly, sociable, vivacious
nature, results in a never ceasing demand
from near and far to engage her personally.

 

Insufficient the hours in the day or week
to enable her to meet all schedules, albeit
she is energetic, industrious, enthusiastic,
dedicated passionately, spiritually devoted
often leaving me wondering just where my
quicksilvery love went or will I see her again.
