The sea at once calm then
white capped with storms
blue sunny skies suddenly
darken with blustery winds
our quality of life changes
with suddenness unexpected
numerous factors impinge
which determine our status
the spiral of our fortunes
never on constant track are
subject to unprojected fact.

Health, wealth, security, loss
surely one can add to the above
destine the up or downswing
of our ever changing course
causing us to alter our lives
for some a pleasant surprise
while for others disastrous
our minds adjust, we plan
to carry on as best we can
with help of family, friends
to restore our quality of life.
