PROJECTIONS OF LOVE

We count on the sun to rise
The moon and stars at night
We know of the budding spring
The summer’s warmth and heat
We love the fall for all its color
Then white wintery days oft cold
Cycle completed, projections hold.

When young we love
When older we love
We love in-between,
Occasions may vary
Intensities may swing
Some partners change
While others steady be.

Our hearts endowed, made for love
Love can be denied, suppressed or,
Thrust upon animals, other objects
Nature, activities, hobbies and work
Even in hearts where love has died
Embers therein linger, come to light
Projections of love always survive.
