Twice
monthly I usher her in
with song
and candlelight
pleased
am I to meet my queen
her presence
fills the void within
warmth
and goodness encompass me
peace,
happiness her feelings bring
an inner
contentment of no uncertain means
her mantle
of kindness she drapes over me
I am gratified
emotionally for the peace of mind
the freedom
of concern she cloaks me with
as the
evening wears on I sing more songs to her
my heart
ever lighter, my mind ever clearer
I serenade
my queen with lyrics of ancient times
feeling
relieved from matters of wordly thought
I turn
to my beloved Queen
with toast
of wine in hand
as fondly
I bid her farewell
until we
meet once again.
