MORNING MIST
Morning mist the
mountains cloak
'ere sunlight pierces through,
first showing peaks
above
then slowly misty clouds remove.
Your Being much the
same mystery showed
masking your heart like a phantom,
till many a sun set
and full moon rose
was your veil ever so slightly lifted,
permitting me a
glimpse of your heart.
Then as
understanding, kindness
ever more intensely flowed,
your heart more
visible each time
to where you stand before me now,
your love
undeniable.
The warm rays of
your open heart
clothe and absorb me in the
wholeness of your gracious
love,
for you too have dissolved
the morning mist with your burning
love.
