MORE FUN

Hi there old timer,
My aching bones,
It’s the young whippersnapper
Well what’s on your mind this time –
How do I know what
I’ll be when I grow up?
That’s easy – just be yourself,
Too many people are going around
Masquerading what they are not,
Doing a bad job of it, fooling themselves –
So remember one thing –
Always be true to yourself –
OK, but what I’ll be doing when grown?
Well actually it’s not as easy as it was –
Used to be you did what your dad did,
Farm, mine, build, sell, trade, teach, law
Well you get the idea,
Nowadays everything is a lot more complicated –
What do you mean by that old timer?
Simply put science, technology changed our way of life
To where everything is inter-connected,
Speed, accuracy, quick decisions, team-work
All necessary ingredients at most jobs,
You have to be prepared
No matter what you choose as your career –
Yeah, well um how do you do that?
With a long road ahead of you that’s how;
Main ingredients are:
Education, training, knowledge, experience
Just to name a few, meaning
Your personal characteristics are almost equally important,
In short, you got to learn to be –
Pleasant, truthful, get along with people be a team player,
Don’t forget to always try your hardest – do your best –
If you follow these guides you can be almost anything –
Well got to get on with some other things,
Almost my nap time you know
See you again sometime, but don’t rush.
