CAROUSEL
Our lives a carousel
reflect
for we too, go round and round,
and just as our carousel
horses,
we too, have our ups and downs.
Difficult it is to jump off
a moving
carousel,
yet more challenging it may be
to redirect ourselves.
As to the highs and
lows
of our carousel horse,
so too do we hold on, to the
vagaries of
life's uncharted course.
As the speed of the
carousel picks up
the world begins to whirl,
our vision now often a
blur
as at top speed we hurdle.
Finally, slowly the
carousel
comes to a stop,
many, as they exit,
are pleased with the
ride they got.
As we our lives carry
on,
confront the issues that we must,
enjoy our highs and take our
lumps,
from a slow start, to a fast ride,
'till once more we meet our end,
we might have found,
that life was a real nice ride,
on our personal
merry-go-round.
