LOVE ON TRIAL

Oh heart that beats to the tune of love
How would you greet the one you love
In the early dawn watch the rising sun
Knowing her inner beauty mocks its own.

How would you dream of spending a day
Could you take her to a garden beautiful
Observe the colors of Nature's gift to us,
Or would you choose our mountains high
A well marked trail where solitude abides
Yes, there while holding our hands tight
Gentle breezes wafting through firs high
Fragrance like perfume soothing, a delight.

Or, perhaps a longer trip to a city far
Explore that city, its culture, the arts
Stop to rest at a well manicured park
Eyes riveted on each other as the day ends,
All too soon dusk arrives, darkened skies
Soft the light from moon and stars alike.

Now my Love, our day almost done
Dreams of fantasies beget the night begun,
Sweet the thoughts of you lying in my arms
Feeling well relaxed with so much charm.
Closer we nudge, ecstatic joy in our hearts
We drift off to sleep as the night wears on
The firmament sees our true love unbound
While moon and stars the night carry on.
