The Lady of the Moor

Wearing white flowers and beads in her hair
she's coming to you on a morning so fair
with blossomy cheeks and her lips like a rosebud in May

Her swift little feet stop the pace of the hours
while her promising arms embrace a thousand white flowers
and her smile turns the dawns orange rays over the Moor into gold

So you want to follow the Lady of the Moor
oh you want to follow to the land of evermore

See how she calls you with Emerald eyes
their bottomless oceans hold you mesmerized
they drown all your voice just denies you the right to call her

A transparent appearance are you to those eyes
the fathom right through you, they can't see no lies
and the sound of your voice just denies you the right to call her

So you can't follow the Lady of the Moor
as she dissolves through the ever hidden door

Wearing white flowers and beads in her hair
she fades like the dew in the sweet morning air
and she leaves you there knowing that she'll never come back
