ITS JUNE

I am in tune with June
With fragrant blossoms
Starry nights, full moon
Beautiful to see all bloom.

My heart is awakening
Warmed by rays of sun
Puffs of clouds drifting on
Children’s smiles abound.

I sense romance in the air
Plan to attend our county fair,
Join the crowds, have some fun
Perhaps with luck meet someone.

June, a blessed birthday for me
Well shucks I’ll only be eighty-three,
Time to travel, take someone with me
After all, I was born an early Gemini.
