Fragile our emotions
steering our hearts,
wisps of wind akin
to magnetic fluctuations
can easily tear them apart.

Lovers pledges make
in all true sincerity,
hoping their love will
last through eternity,
few enjoy that luxury.

Most, no matter how dedicated
will stumble in their task,
subjected to myriads of inputs
some true, the majority imaginary,
causing uncertainty, doubts, abrogation.

Pain, sorrow, tears often result-
who has courage to resurrect their love,
temerity to once again meet eye to eye
hold hands, let emotions surge anew,
kiss drying tears, chasing sadness away.
