A familiar
face seen bi-weekly
pleasant, friendly,
efficient
a noted volunteer on
the Board
she and her officer
spouse
a respected couple
make
this, a special evening
for her
one that she was prepared
for
as she was called to
the dais
to chant the scripture
portion
for the most important
part
of the Services that
evening.
With
but a few light introductions
she began to chant
the ancient
changeless enduring
indelible text
of thousands of years
ago,
her surprisingly
melodious voice
distinct and clear
to our ears
her inspiration and
sincerity
welling up from deep
inside her
permeating those in
attendance
penetrating our solemn
emotions
attentive to her every
intonation
as she flawlessly recited
that
which she so graciously
shared.
