What causes us to become
so attached , so loyal  to
someone that despite all
circumstances to the counter
we remain dedicated to their
well being, their wholeness
their emotional  requirement
that we often think of them,
concern ourselves about their
lives, happiness and welfare,
if need be bestow or provide
sustenance, support to them.

Is it a matter of conscience,
an inherent force within
that drives our minds, our
hearts our spirit our souls
to do that which is just, is
right, is protective, humane
in assisting someone we
deeply care about that we
know needs us to be there
for them, perhaps it is a form
of wisdom, of universal love.
