In Honor Of

Young, beautiful, zesty
full of life, motion
broad smile, pleasant
outgoing, conversant
green eyed, auburn hair
a real charmer
intelligent with a sense of humor
she exuded that which most
found irresistible including me
namely, her great personality.

Was it at the Prom,
or the New Year's Party
swinging, dancing, laughing,
holding, carrying on
time flew by, the hours went
it was almost as
though we were alone
just the two of us
in a world of our own
we knew then that we'd hit it off
that's when a date
into a couple turned
so very long ago.
