That which is, is
that which cannot be, cannot be
though all may be possible
much is improbable
many cannot believe or accept this.

Some strive to overcome
that which cannot be
in few instances they succeed
encouraging others to follow their lead
history credits these with their deed.

Our relationships too are subject to the above
we strive to attain, to gain
that which we want no matter how tough
despite many obstacles we have to rebuff
we hope that in the end we achieve our aim
yet often we are faced with an impasse
that blocks our goal and stands in our way.
