Once
upon a time,
lived
a cat who was fine.
He
had nine lives to spend,
and
with that, made great dividend.
He
was labeled Jean Claude,
and
he ate lots of cod.
Servants
gave as desired,
and
if not, they were fired.
He
would put on a show,
and
no one would know,
He
would show them his death,
and
gain back life's breath.
The
crowd would applaud,
and
the cat named Jean Claude,
would
collect their money,
thinking
it right funny.
This
act could not last forever,
for
the tenth time he pulled the lever,
the
blade cut him through,
and
the blood flew,
audience
did strangely nod,
but
this was the death of Jean Claude.
