“Grandma Summer”

Skim through the snow
Light headed we sing
Our last winter joy
Is spent as we skip
Gracefully through snow
The sun melts quickly
All the ice and snow
Our joy fades away
Along with the cold

Yet another season
Opens its gate
And grandma opens her
Front door holding
A glass of lemonade
She puts aside
Then opens her arms
For me to jump into
