Once more the curtain went up
at the Avalon Theater stage
to an excited full audience
ready to hear, watch, enjoy
great music, lyrics, drama
mirroring life, love and death.

 

The colors, costumes, voices
stage performances, actions
selected from three operas,
held the audience enthralled.
Powerful the haunting lyrics
wrapped in musical beauty,
their emotions gripping the heart
oft touching, penetrating the soul,
as it has always been ever since
these Masterpieces were created.

 

Additionally, a lighter side
less intense was also enjoyed
as the cast presented selections
from Broadway musical shows
with songs, dances, performances
all with a delightful ending to the
very best Gala Performance ever.
