Had you ever wished like so many people do
to have your cake and eat it too

Most folks think it silly and let it go at that
yet a lot will try it, inadvertently or not

They know what they want but can't quite get it
so much to nullify, staggering the price

Obsessed with the idea they just can't forget it
like a dog with a bone, its too hard a sacrifice

Wouldn't it be nice if you could tell them, wise them up a bit
one day they will wake up from their dream in a terrible fit.
