FREE WILL

Daily untold numbers of choices
we each make
pertaining to a wide variety of
activities we selectively undertake,
some we make almost instantaneously
while others may require lengthy thought
the rest fall somewhere in-between
or may not be made at all.

Many are the ways in which
our choices may be made
most, hopefully are ours alone to make,
unencumbered by command, instruction
or other societal contractual necessities
to which we had given our consent
thus in most cases a necessity are
to our very lives and our well being.

True free choices may be much more
limited than we think
wisely we should chose while carefully
exploring the paths that we seek,
be considerate of others
mindful of the consequences
of ripple effects and boomerangs
hasty, poor choices oft result in
dire consequences
for you, your loved ones
your home, your work, your town
or even society as a whole.
