FADING YEARS

Dearest Love,
Many moons have come and gone
Over the years our love has grown
We understood and now we are One,
As the coming months ebb and flow
We shall spend them together in love.

The falling leaves, an indicator
Of colder, harsher months to come
With howling winds, storms of snow,
Will only serve to fortify our bonds
By providing tender, radiating love.

Dearest, I wish to be in your embrace forever
As winter coats the Landscape glistening white,
Hours growing longer through the darkest night
Wanting to caress, kiss and hold my love tight
Until it is my time to rest and give up the fight.
