Relaxed sitting in a charming, cozy
pleasant well decorated living room,
I looked through two glass french doors,
noticing an old rustic wooden cedar fence
beyond which tall, huge sunflowers grew,
among a stand of trees where busy birds flew
all under a warm, cloudless sky of deep blue.
 

The image of peace, tranquility, beauty
lifted both my inner spirits and thoughts
as I ever so gently squeezed the warm hands
of the precious lady sitting beside me while she
in silence, with benign smile understood all,
offering her true heart with gentle kiss to seal
our sweet love with gracious heart, body and soul.
 

Happy are we to be in love
though bereft of logic are we
unknown the whys or wherefores
unessential the reasons for the above,
nor do we battle our strong emotions
instead we fully partake of each other's love
with honest sincerity, blessings from above.
