What is Spirit, Soul, Heart and Mind?
A clatter of electrons
Bouncing around a micro-universe?
Is the spirit
Just a ghost of past and present feelings?
Anger, guilt, regret.
Is our soul
Merely the unknown future?
Anticipation, fear and dread.
Is our heart
Our storehouse of our emotions?
Hatred, love and lust.
Are our minds
A mere accountants book?
A litany of Mills and Boon.
And are 'I love you"
Just dream words----
A mnemonic for anti-loneliness?
Take the grandiose away
And what is left?
Ego, survival, sex.
