SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL

No inspiration tonight
Just fear for the human race,
Sadness for a lost love.
I wonder if life is worth it all,
Grief and fear
Loneliness and cruelty
I wish something beautiful would happen.

Maybe the human creature
Is dysfunctional and sad.
No character or self esteem.
I wonder if anything stifles ambition
Instability, Greed,
Hunger for Power?
Could something beautiful ever happen?

Will humanity ever change?
Can't we see what we have?
The loveliness of earth,
The wonder of our life?
Love and understanding
Tolerance and caring.....
Maybe something beautiful will happen.
