NESCIT VOX MISSA REVERTI
I talk too much and it is a fault
My words are froth and bubble
Inanity and platitude
I forget irrevocable
Until such day
I hear the echoes in my mind.
I fear my own contempt
For my own false words
For words I deemed profound
Now proven shallow.
For words encouraging, advising,
But confirming jealousy and spite.
It's good to be silent and not to utter
The stray word that can hurt
Words can be truth but still lack
The grace of kindness.
I regret past words of ignorance
Clothed in wisdom.
I should be silent for a while
Until I learn
The art of kindness
The wisdom of silence
The quiet of contemplation
The forever of irrevocable.
A word Once Uttered is Irrevocable.
