FEVER

Cold, very cold

Another blanket

Feet frozen

Hot water bottle

But the stopper won't work

It doesn't matter

No energy

Mind mad-----

Sorting toy blocks

Or houses

Or cards

But nothing matches.

Head aches

Eyes dry and sore

Body burning and

Turning restlessly.

Water and tablet

Why will nothing fit?

Blue, green, yellow blocks

Won't go together

In and out of sanity

Teeth chattering

Body shaking

Tired

And alone.
