ABSTRACT
COMMUNICATIONS
How do I see you?
How do you see me?
I see you as I always have.
You see me as
Older and different.
When I write
What do you read?
When I talk
What do you hear?
Forever close
Yet never any closer
Than infinity.
Do
the stars communicate?
Is a sunspot
Akin to a solar scream,
Or a joyful kiss
On the cheeks of eternal
winds?
Atoms
collide
With implication------
Is that loves consummation
Or a laugh in inner space?
So many places,
So much life
That we poor souls
Cannot hear, see
Touch or smell
Or even comprehend.
How
do you hear me?
How do I touch you?
What does the dolphin
Say to the moon?
How does a chimp
Hear a breaking atom?
How does your face feel
When it isn't there to touch?
Only in our minds-----
Our minds contain our senses.
Whatever or whoever you are
Can my mind touch yours?
