OUR LITTLE CORNER

Vast is the universe Countless its stars Infinite distances Planets unsought.
Specialists study The systems afar, And with each discovery More intelligent than before, Incrementally force The door of knowledge ajar.
Yet, in our little corner Do most really share, The cosmic events That constantly occur.
You know the answer as well as do I, Who really cares, For far too busy are we With our own daily affairs.
Finite eons later, When our planet No longer can Sustain its life, Will future generations Still be engaged In persistent, mundane strife.
