CASUAL ENCOUNTER

At first routine
without much thought
paying for what I had bought,
yet each time I noticed her
I found myself attracted more and more to her,
she in turn her feminine charm displayed
with small talk, big smile, sparkling eyes
strengthening a feeling of warm sensation,
her body language undeniably her accomplice
together with her full flow of lovely red hair,
compelled, inspired was I to write a simple poem
which some weeks later I briefly presented,
much to her pleasure, in time for her birthday,
a solid hug bringing warmth to my heart,
thus our innocent chance encounter,
with the fair lady's permission,
could eventually lead us to a new start
one in which we would promise never to part.
