Somewhat purely by chance
no, it was not even a dance
but a musical happenstance
our seats at close expanse
we gave each other a glance
under favorable circumstance
small talk began to advance
this and that nothing immense
laughed, joked as in a trance.

She was delightfully bewitching
attractive, engagingly desiring
likable, pleasantly entrancing
her allure strangely enthralling
her winsome nature tantalizing
present availability not precluding
her choice though not permitting
fascinated by our chance meeting
I succumbed to facts overbearing
thus bidding captivating Linda a
sincere fond farewell in leaving.
