BY CHANCE

We met by chance one day
so randomly, and yet
it almost was,
as though it was
meant to be-
two warm hearts,
a timeless remedy-
knowing smiles,
brief words of nothingness
all merely attesting
to what was really
happening inside-
closed windows of the heart
now slowly opening
letting in love's bright light,
its radiance permeating
every nuance of our bodies-
the aura of its warmth,
now plainly visible to all,
engulfing us evermore
our hearts now
permanently entwined,
just as it was originally designed.
