On some small pretext
we met once more
each knew the other's score
implacable our obstacles
near nigh to overcome
two hearts tugging at each other
we will succeed our love bids it so.

She walked me to the car
placed my hand in both of hers
held it tight as a sign of her love
sending thrills through my heart, as she
 gently said, I can love you from afar.

This story has no end as yet
it just keeps evolving along
its outlook quite promising you know
our love blooms secure ever more
as our understanding readily shows
our commitment also firmly grows.
