To be sure qualifications must be met
physical, educational, many more we can add
much talent demonstrated with voice and grace
personal, hypothetical answers to be appraised,
extemporaneous, spontaneous, akin to mental tests
all this to some degree measured by points and score
judgment based on an unbiased objective interpretive core
with rapt attention, in reverse order, the winner is announced.

Yet despite all the furor, frenzy. interpretation
we know precious little of all involved in the competition,
the items tested and revealed - but a shell of the contestant
we really do not know how inwardly each thinks and feels,
what is truly important to each, what lies deep in their heart
for that, one would have to organize an almost impossible task
instead of outer beauty, to program the conditions, points needed
to fairly and honestly judge an inner Beauty Contest Of Each Heart.
