BALANCE

Night balances day
Happiness versus sadness
Life by death
Spring and Fall
Sickness with health
Winter and Summer
Love and hate
War and peace
Sky and ground
Givers and takers
Ocean and Land
Rich versus poor
Matter and antimatter.

Nature loves balance
That we as humans
Inherently struggle and
Strive for;
Our inner balance
So precious, so fleeting,
Try as we might
We cannot permanently retain
That very necessary
Emotionally essential life giving
Balance.
