ON A SHORE SOMEWHERE
 
I'm longing for a shore somewhere
there the air brushes away all tears
where the air is gentle and mild
and  people are safe and happy.
No guns are shooting -
the children are children
and playing with each other
without thinking adults thoughts
of inflicting revenge -
no stones are throwing
no guns are shooting -
why can't the world be in that way
when honestly most of us
wish for just that world.
