Good night my friend
I'm leaving you now.
I will give my light, my friend
on another beach somewhere.

They are already waiting for me
and all of you know
when I come and give you my light,
as all of you know when I leave you
every evening.

I don't distinguish any of you
poor and rich, healthy and sick,
old and young -
none of you can live alone
from me -
I'm your life my friend.

You are here only a short time
but I'm here forever
for those who lived before you
and for them who come after you.
